Nokia 9 clears FCC, 5.3-inch display, dual-SIM and micro-SD support on cards

HMD Global's flagship Nokia phone, the long-rumoured Nokia 9, has passed US-based certification website FCC, seemingly confirming both its existence as well as a couple of confirmed specs. The Nokia 9 for starters would be a dual-SIM smartphone that would also support micro-SD cards for expandable storage. The phone in question would further come with a 5.3-inch screen of an unspecified resolution. To recall, the Nokia 9 had previously passed the EA Union and Bluetooth certifications. The said phone was also -- only recently -- spotted on benchmark website Geekbench seemingly confirming its hardwdare specs, such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU and 4 gigs of RAM. The Nokia 9 is also said to include a dual-camera setup on the rear assisted with Carl Zeiss optics. It is also likely to support Qualcomm's Quick Charge 4.0 technology. The Nokia 9 -- with model number TA-1004 -- now having made its way to FCC proves, the top-tier phone from HMD Global may launch soon enough. Following in the footsteps of the Nokia 6, the Nokia 5 and the Nokia 3 (and the Nokia 3310 2017 feature phone) the Nokia 9 should complete HMD Global's portfolio for 2017, although there's no confirmation that these would be the only phones that the company would launch this year.   Nokia 6, 5 and 3 India launch and expected pricing HMD Global will launch the Nokia 6, the Nokia 5 and the Nokia 3 in India on June 13.
